Giving to the Ummah
IQRA school has been from the beginning of January collecting items for a massive distribution inshaAllah. Included but not limited to are clothes, food, shoes and toys. All items must be in good condition.
The Quran says:
For those of you who believe and spend in charity, for them is a great reward. 57:7
There are many verses on the greatness of giving from the bounty of which was given to you, in sincerity, and hoping for the reward.
This drive will continue until the end of the month. So please, continue giving inshaAllah!
We will be giving a part of our donations to the Albert Royer childrens hospital, Fann.
Midterm exams
Students will be having midterm exams at the end of January inshaAllah. These exams are important and they count for 15% of the final note for each subject area.
Students will be receiving their study guides next week inshaAllah. Please go over the questions with your child and make sure that he is able to answer fully each question.
Field trip
Wednesday, January 23rd inshaAllah, we will be going on an animal scavenger hunt. We are studying animals in science, and we will be going to see how many species of animal life can be found living on the beach area behind Magic Land. If you would like to chaperone, please contact the school.
Awards ceremony
Congratulations to Nancy Okolie, Salman AlZeed, Seynabou Diagne, Aneesa Nawab and Abdoulaye Fall who all made Honour Roll or Merit Award!
