Dear Parents,
FINAL Exams will start June 10, 2013 inshaAllah.
You can support your child through the stress of revision by doing the following things:
· Working out a revision timetable for each subject.
· Breaking revision time into small chunks.
· Making sure your child has all the books, materials and handouts that were given throughout the year.
· Using index cards to act as revision prompts.
· Buying new stationery, highlighters and pens to make revision more interesting.
· Going through school notes with your child or listen while they revise a topic.
· Making sure that your child has done all the questions found on this Study Guide.
· Making sure that your child eats and sleeps well before and during the exam period.
· Contacting your child’s teachers if you have any questions or concerns.

Theme: Comparing Cultures
Oral and Written Presentation
Students will present different aspects of the Chinese culture. They may choose any THREE aspects to show.
1. Chinese clothing (student will need to explain what he/she is wearing).
2. A Chinese dish (student will explain how the dish was made).
3. Chinese lantern (student will explain how the lantern was made and what it is used for).
4. Chinese writing (student will write on a large piece of paper a Chinese word or phrase, say it, and translate it).
5. Chinese dragon (student will need to draw a Chinese dragon and explain the importance of it).
6. Chinese flag (bring a replica of the flag and explain what the colours mean and the stars).

Theme: Global Trade

The student will do a thorough analysis of the coffee trade. Students will be noted on:
